Through the Tee-Ball Association of WA (Inc), there is an insurance scheme available which provides access for affiliated clubs to insurance cover.The insurance is provided through Sportscover, and all insurance applications must be lodged through T.B.A.W.A.

The scope of cover provided is for all playing members, their coaches; umpires; scorers; managers and other officials while participating or conducting voluntary work for the insured Clubs including benefits during direct travel to the venue.

Player health and safety

Parents will need to take responsibility for ensuring that their child arrives by the time requested by the team coach.

It is not the coach’s job to erect shades and peg out the bases. This is everyone else’s responsibility.

Covered shoes MUST be worn by anyone who goes onto the Diamond, whether it’s as a player or as an official such as a base coach or umpire. This applies to both the games and to training sessions.

Helmets provided must be worn during training sessions as well as during the games. Injuries more commonly occur during training sessions.

Even when the weather is hot, players should NOT wear shorts, skirts or dresses to training sessions or games. It is much safer to wear at least ¾ length pants.

REMINDER - We are a healthy club which means that smoking is only allowed in the car park and is prohibited on or near the playing field or the canteen.

Briggs Park emergency access gate Please, do not block the oval's emergency access gate
Please do not park your vehicle in front of the access barrier to our playing fields. This is the only point of entry for emergency crews in the case of any emergency (click adjacent photo for enlarged view).

Although we hope we never need to open it (except once a year when Santa arrives), your cooperation is much appreciated - thank you.

Should the barrier need to be unlocked, be aware the main gate key unlocks the barrier, and some coaches who train at Briggs Park have a gate key as does the Club President and the Canteen operator.

The green shirt program
The WA Dept. Sport & Rec. Green Shirt Program

The objective of the Green Shirt Program is to reduce the incidence of abuse and harassment directed towards inexperienced officials and, as a result, improve retention rates at the grass roots level of sport.

The Green Shirt Program aims to:
  • Make new officials easily identifiable, so that they are easy to recognise and support;
  • Raise awareness and increase recognition and support for new officials;
  • Reduce pressure and lessen abuse and conflict directed towards new officials;
  • Create a culture of support for these new officials through the education of players, coaches, spectators and the media.
The officials who take part in the program run by Baseball WA and the Tee-ball Association of WA are provided with an easily identifiable coloured official's shirt.

We need to understand that in our Club there is zero tolerance to anyone arguing with our umpires. Only the team coach may quietly approach and appeal to an umpire about a decision they have made. If any parent wishes to discuss a decision or question a rule, they should do so at the end of the game.

Unresolved issues with any of our umpires or coaches should be directed to the Club President.
